Custom Hats
The House of Hats offers a custom-made service, creating hats and headpieces especially for you. Whether you’d like to customize one of our existing designs by changing color, materials, or trims, or have something completely new created, we can help bring your ideas to life.
Each piece is individually handcrafted by milliner Ilana Meilak in our studio using traditional millinery techniques and carefully chosen materials.
Please feel free to share reference images or outfit photos for inspiration. While we can’t reproduce another designer’s work, they help us understand the feel you’re after.
Custom pieces usually take two to eight weeks, depending on the design. For custom inquiries, just fill in the form below and we’ll be in touch.

Step One
We can customize an existing House of Hats design by changing the color, materials, or trims, or create something entirely new inspired by your ideas and designed to complement your outfit.
Step Two
Once we’ve decided on your final design, we’ll source the fabrics, materials and trims needed to bring your custom piece to life.
Step Three
Once we have all the materials needed, we’ll begin creating your custom piece. Depending on the design and level of detail, this process can take several weeks to complete.
